Liquor Licensing

The City of Byron requires a liquor license for any business or organization intending to sell or serve alcoholic beverages within city limits. This includes on-sale, off-sale, and temporary events where alcohol will be available. Licensing ensures responsible alcohol service and compliance with local and state regulations.

The City offers several types of liquor licenses, including but not limited to:

    • Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License – For businesses selling packaged liquor for off-site consumption.
Please note: The City Council has set a limit of four (4) off-sale intoxicating liquor licenses within the City of Byron.
    • 3.2% Malt Liquor License – For establishments serving low-alcohol beer.
    • Temporary Liquor License – For special events hosted by eligible organizations.
