Fall Leaf Clean Up

By Gretta Becay

Leaves that fall on your property should stay on your property or be hauled away. They do not belong in city streets or in the gutters.

Keeping debris out of the gutters helps keep the storm sewer system clean which saves the city – and you, the taxpayer – money because it reduces the cost to clean that system and dredge the settling ponds. So, please do not blow or push leaves onto public roads.

In keeping with the Clean Water Act, the city’s entire storm sewer system is designed to allow only clean water to flow into streams and rivers. Please help by doing your part.
