06/18/26 Construction Update
Street Closures
The intersection of 10th Ave NE and 4th St NE remains closed. This includes the sidewalks and trail.
Update
Underground utility construction anticipated to start 06/23/26. Residents and businesses will have temporary impacts related to water. City staff will notify in advance of when these impacts will take place for you.
Internet service providers are working through re-routing underground infrastructure. Please contact your service providers directly with questions or concerns related to any interruptions you may experience.
Safety
Please follow the detour routes and avoid entering the project locations to prevent injuries or damage to you or the construction staff.
Project schedule is weather dependent and subject to change.
May 2026 Updates
The intersection of 4th St NE and 10th Ave NE will be closed beginning June 3, 2026, with scheduled completion by September 3, 2026 for construction of a roundabout.
This project follows an extensive traffic study conducted in the summer of 2025, leading to a unanimous decision by our City Engineer and City Council to enhance safety and traffic flow at this busy intersection.
