Street Closures

All base asphalt pavement has been completed. Restoration in these areas are ongoing. Do not park on the roadways during construction hours. With ongoing restoration work, the roads will remain closed to thru traffic to accommodate construction operations.

Sidewalks and driveways along 7th St. have been completed. Due to the paving schedule, access ramps are not anticipated to be needed for the 11.4.25 returned driveway use.

7th Street roadway building operations through aggregate section in preparation for asphalt paving are ongoing. Asphalt paving for the remaining roadway is anticipated to take place the week of 10.27.25.

Concrete curb & gutter is complete. Sidewalks were started; remaining portions of 7th St. sidewalk and driveways will be completed the week of 10.27.25.

Sodding has started along 3^rd Ave and the easterly portion of the project on 7^th St. This will be an ongoing process. There will be a sod care flier delivered to each resident.

Underground utility construction on 7th St., at 4th Ave will begin with sanitary sewer installation, followed with water-main, working west to project limits.

7th St from CSAH 5 to 4th Ave and all of 3rd Ave is anticipated to have the aggregate fine graded in preparation of asphalt paving. Along with ongoing grading for lawn restoration.

Driveway construction along all of 3rd Ave & 7th Street from CSAH 5 to 4th Ave. has been completed. Driveways that were poured 9.17.25 are open to residents. All remaining driveways can been driven on 9.29.25.

Sub-drain services(sump pump lines)on 3rd Ave are actively being installed . Ongoing work in preparation prior to placing the aggregate section. Access will be limited to residents on 3rd Ave during street construction until it is reconstructed to aggregate.

Underground utility construction on 7th St. is continuing with watermain from CSAH 5 to 4th Ave.

June 12, 2025 Update

Street Closures

9th St. NW has reopened. 7th St is closed. 3rd Ave North from 7th St. to 9th St. NW remains closed.

Update

Underground utility construction on 3rd Ave is ongoing. The sanitary and water service work have been completed. The storm sewer construction is ongoing. Roadway and subdrain construction will follow the storm sewer moving from the north end of 3rd Ave to the south. Access will be limited to residents on 3rd Ave during street construction until it is reconstructed to aggregate.

Underground utility construction on 7th St. is ongoing. Crews are working to install the new sanitary sewer main on 7^th St. from 3rd Ave to 4th Ave.

Temporary water service is active throughout the project.

Underground staking and utility markings are ongoing. Please refrain from removing any of these from your lawn. Proposed subdrain service locations are currently marked with lath with purple ribbon. For relocation of the proposed subdrain, contact Ryan Fate (WHKS).

Concurrently, MTC (MetroNet) and NPL (MERC) are performing operations in various sections of the project to relocate lines for MetroNet and Minnesota Energy (MERC). For any questions or concerns regarding this work, please contact your service provider directly.

7th St. NW from CSAH 5 to 5th Ave NW and 3rd Ave from 7th St. to 9th St., are currently closed to traffic. 9th St. NW will be reopened today, but construction activities will continue in the area.

Update

Underground utility construction on 3rd Ave is ongoing. The sewer and water mains have been installed, and service work is ongoing. The storm sewer construction will follow service construction. Roadway construction will begin shortly after utilities are completed.

Underground utility construction on 7th St. is scheduled to begin mid-next week.

Temporary water service is actively being switched over on 7th St. Snow Contracting will require access to residences to turn off the water supply and switch over to the temporary water system. Residents will be contacted as necessary.

Upcoming

Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 12th. While the roadways will remain accessible, signage will be installed to indicate ongoing road work, specifically the grinding of the existing roadway. Simultaneously, crews will start laying out temporary water piping throughout the designated project areas.

Underground utility construction is slated to begin the week of May 19th. During this period, 9th St. and 3rd Ave NW will be closed to traffic.
